A Certificate III in Functional English for Study or Employment will help you develop the necessary skills to study further or start working in Australia. We understand that this process may be new for you, so our dedicated teaching staff are ready to help you navigate your learning.

Within this course, you will learn how to read, write, listen and speak in a professional context. You will also develop key life skills that involve developing study and job-seeking skills. Once you have completed this qualification, you’ll have the option to study a range of different courses. You’ll be able to gain access to nationally recognised courses with IELTS 5.5 or ISLPR 3 English requirements.

Every student will have an initial interview to assess their individual learning needs and their language, literacy and numeracy skills.

Entrants must demonstrate either an IELTS score of Band 4.5, an ISLPR Overall proficiency Level 2+/-3, or an equivalent level of English.

Learners must also have access to appropriate technology to allow them to complete the qualification. This includes a computer with a reliable internet connection and browsing ability, word processing applications such as Word and Spreadsheet applications such as Excel. 

This qualification is delivered through blended learning. Blended learning is available for domestic and international students, consisting of 33% online and 67% face-to-face learning.
